Move 2010 --A Huge Success
Fitness Works at Work client companies just finished Move 2010, an activity-based incentive program. Employees formed teams of 2-4 people with the goal of collectively accumulating 2010 minutes of physical activity over a four week period. The program kicked off on May 19, National Employee Health and Fitness Day. "Fab-U-Less 4", "Wholly Walkamole's", "Lady Ma Ma's", and "Hit the Road Jacks" along with 144 other teams laced up their sneakers and started accruing minutes of activity. Each week the team captains sent in their weekly totals to their Fitness Works at Work Health Promotion Specialist who kept a running total. Every week all participants received emails with fitness and nutrition tips and articles. Members of the teams that reached their goal of 2010 minutes received a Move 2010 t-shirt. The end result - 610 employees accumulated 598,430 minutes of physical activity...WOW!
